0xDEADBEEF
Made in 16 hours for Ludokultur Jam #1. It's barely a prototype. Let me know what you think? And oh yeah, play + wishlist Ballionaire :)
Warning: game is hard as !@*#&(@. You're 0xDEADBEEF
Overview
- Hack as many servers as you can before you flatline in a blaze of glory.
- Hack the server within 100 seconds.
- If you run out of time, you flatline and take 1 damage.
- You can jack out in the first 50 seconds to take 0.5 damage.
- After 3 damage, you die. You can't jackout when you have <1 health.
- See how many servers you can hack before you die.
- Hacking tools are randomly generated each game. Servers are randomly generated each run.
- After you use a tool 10 times, it's exhausted and replaced with a new tool.
Controls
- Study the server and your tools. When you're ready, click "Jack In".
- The grid in the center is the server.
- Each cell in the grid has integrity. It can't go below 0 or above 9.
- You're trying to bring the total of all numbers in the server to or below the target integrity.
- Target integrity starts at 10 and lowers by 1 for each server successfully hacked, to a minimum of 5.
- The polyominos are "hacking tools".
- Left click to pick one up.
- Right click to release it.
- Mouse wheel to rotate it.
- Left click while fully hovering over the server to execute the tool.
- Press "Jack Out" in the first 50s of a hack to escape with only half-damage.
Hacking
- The hacking tool may only be activated if the hacking tool is completely inside the server.
- IMPORTANT: If a node would be brought below 0 (zero) by a subtraction, you suffer a 5 second penalty.
- IMPORTANT: If a node would be brought above 9 (nine) by addition, you suffer a 5 second penalty.
- The hacking tools all have a 1 second cooldown, during which time the tool will turn a shade of blue.
- Each box on a hacking tool has a potentially different function:
- -1 : subtract one
- -2 : subtract two
- +1 : add one
- +2 : add two
- =0 : set to zero
- =1 : set to one
- =2 : set to two
- 4>0 : four becomes zero
- 3>0 : three becomes zero
- 2>0 : two becomes zero

Updated a new version with a few changes:
It's since been updated and it's a lot harder now.
I like the concept. Pretty difficult, but it's a cool game!
