NEW SYSTEMS: Pacts! Boons & Banes!

  • When the game starts, you can choose from a random selection of 3 Pacts.
  • Each Pact adds both a boon (beneficial mutation) and bane (harmful mutation) to the game.
  • There are 16 pacts, built around 4 boons and 4 banes.
  • Some of the boons are rerolls and trigger removal!
  • Mutations are a precursor to a relic system. We'll soon support custom runs w/ freely chosen mutations.

CONTENT: New, Updated, and Removed Triggers

  • Corn no longer spawns Cornball when bonked after Warning. Instead, Corn pops popcorn (mini-Balls, like rain) if hit by Fireball.
  • Added Volcano. It now spawns a Fireball if bonked directly after Warning. Fireball can cook things like Steak and Bread.
  • Added steak. It's cooked by Fireball like Bread. Bread and Steak have the Cookable trait.
  • Removed Potato, Pretzel, and Money.

BALANCE:

  • Many, many changes to Trigger rarity. Too numerous to list. There are now 9 Commons, 10 Uncommons, 7 Rares, and 5 Mythics.
  • Overall rebalance to help Food be a winnable strategy. More details below.
  • Bread (and Steak -"Cookables") are now PERMANENTLY cooked after one Fireball hit.
  • Plate now 2x's ANY bonked food (previously it was only food bonked by that same ball). This stacks, up to 8 times (256x)
  • Plate also moves up to Rare.
  • 10/100/500 -> 100/500/1000 Shopping Cart payout for unique items.
  • Lucky charm now fires 100% of the time instead of 75% of the time, and the cooldown has been removed.
  • Piggy Bonk stops eating coins when full (30).
  • Nudge now appears with same frequency as other Triggers, not 4x (since there are 4 directions of Nudge)

QUALITY OF LIFE:

  • Moved all buttons to the bottom of the screen and where feasible made their looks more consistent.

FIXES:

  • Fixed Whale. Was paying out money-squared of how it was intended to score. You can still win with Whale/banks strat, it's just much less easy to do so now.
  • Bowguette and Rain Droplet axe splatter colors are correct now.
  • Triggers in scoring tray correctly render the state of the trigger when scored (e.g. Bread will appear as Toast if hit by Fireball)
  • Nudge(s) will not be listed redundantly in synergies.
  • Fixed issue with browser not saving settings.
